Another year gone by

The Dulcimer Day in Duluth festival has now passed. Thanks to everyone who attended. I know quite a few people travel a distance to attend. The 21 classes, 2 concerts, open mic, and all the in between times were great opportunities to meet players, hear exceptional music playing, carry on folk traditions, and advance skills.
Thanks to the vendors for setting up and being there. I hope participants did visit the vendors for local-made crafts. The behind-the-scene of the fest does involve many people, sponsors, and lots of planning. Please see the sponsor list again and thank the sponsors for supporting this event. Thanks to Bruce who attended to the performer CD table ALL day - that's over 12 hours. Cherlyn also helped from the beginning to the end with registration check=in to clean up at the end. Did everyone like the tasty taco bar by Duluth Grill? Talk about fresh and filling. Great job with Open Mic participants and thanks to Larry for leading it. Thanks to Steve for running the day concert and (I guess....) sharing more Ole and Lena jokes. Music IS fun. Dulcimers are fun. I don't want to think of a world - or a day - without it. Photos are up in the gallery. The attendance of participants was down by about 10 but there still was a good crowd, especially at the day concert with everyone in one room. Strings, wood, pvc, dance shoes - lots of music from head to toe.
