What a day
Dulcimer Day in Duluth was yesterday and was packed for over 12 hours with Dulcimer music. The concerts were excellent and it was great to have folks participate in Open Mic. Thanks to the performer/instructors - Karen Mueller, Stu Janis, Bill Cagely, Al Anderson, Peggy Carter, and Lisa Ellsworth. It was a treat to hear everyone playing music. Thanks to all the helpers throughout the day and for those who brought treats. Thanks to the attendees and I know many travel a ways to come. Dulcimer Day in Duluth is serving as a springtime (even though it did snow a bit on the day....) celebration of Dulcimers. Music is very special and we all have busy lives with many things to do. I'm glad to be a part of sharing music and having more people keep on learning about folk instrument playing and hearing very skilled performers. The day went well and Lake Superior did appear later in the evening as the fog parted. It was fun to see everyone again and I'll make catch some of you during the year. Thanks for shopping at the local vendors and good-bye for now as the 12th Dulcimer Day in Duluth fest is now over. By the way, I was on the All Things Considered MPR program the day before DDD and perhaps that was another level of spreading enthusiasm for dulcimers.
