What a great day!

Dulcimer Day was yesterday.  It's one super filled day with cool people, wonderful music, and learning - my 3 favorite things.    So many people were key to helping this event happen ; helpers throughout the day, especially Bruce, Cherlyn and Pearl - and, of course, Terry.

It was fantastic to have the 4 performers be here in Duluth - Aaron O'Rourke from Florida,  Kendra Ward & Bob Bence from Ohio, and Karen Mueller from Minneapolis.  Thanks to extra teacher Kari Fox.  I had fun stepping in a doing a class with some new and early beginners.

Thanks to Gary Jorgenson and the Ordinary Folk group for performing and also running sound.

Safe travels back home, everybody.  Enjoy playing new tunes and trying out new techniques.

Photos will be up on the website soon.

Here's the little song I wrote and did at the evening concert. of course, I've changed it already a bit.

Listen to the dulcimer
Play a little dulcimer
at Dulcimer Day in Duluth (2X)

Thanks for coming near Lake Superior
Over the past 14 years
Welcome to those who are new.
Thanks to Karen and Aaron,  Bob and Kendra
For coming to teach and perform in Duluth.

Chorus
Hope you've had a special time
Added more tunes to play
Developed new techniques and friends you meet.
Now it's our turn
To keep dulcimer playing strong
Just as others have done before.

Chorus
