Dulcimer finds a home

Yesterday one of my dulcimers for sale found a new home - a bright home-schooled high school student is now part of the dulcimer family. It was a McSpadden dulcimer made of spruce and walnut. I love that being part of playing music can enrich our lives and has opportunities for all kinds of music.  Mountain dulcimers are fun to play indoors and outdoors - alone or with other instruments.  It's comforting in awhile to play around with plucking strings or maybe adding a special strummed rhythm.  The vibrations added to the air are part of music.  Okay, bird songs might be a little more special but the sounds from a dulcimer add a bit of harmony and peace to the world.  We need a bit more.
