Two months until Dulcimer Day

The Dulcimer Day in Duluth festival is just two months away. A new class has been added - a Q&A with a luthier. Ever wanted to build a dulcimer? Here's your chance to ask about wood, process, tips. The signups for the fest are coming in. It's always great to have the Thunder Bay folks come down and to have people from the North Shore, Range, Twin Cities and Wisconsin.
Most people who coming are pretty skilled mountain dulcimer players. So far no one has signed up for banjo classes. If by mid-April no one signs up for banjo classes than Doug says he's more than happy to switch and teach some mountain dulcimer classes. I only wish that the teachers could teach multiple classes at once! They are so talented and eager to share. It will be a long but inspiring day for all and a great chance to learn new tunes, hear great music, and hangout with other players. I hope you will sign. Early bird special rates until mid-March.
I'll be updating the dulcimer website and adding a list of vendors. There will be some very fun and beautiful items for sale by local artists. Instrument vendors, including Dulcimers In Duluth, will be there, too.
I got out the autoharp today. It's been awhile since a brought it out. I started writing a song about biology to the tune Golden Slippers. I'll work on it more to finish it by next week.
