Celebrations

We all have our celebrations throughout the year - graduations, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays. This Sunday - July 18- is a Celebration of Lake Superior. Duluth sits on the edge of Lake Superior, and we get to drink Lake Superior water, go swimming, boating, watch wild storms and listen to the gentle waves. As an advocate for local artists I'm organizing a new fair called Love Lake Superior which will be held on Sunday from 10 to 3 p.m. at the Coppertop Church, 230 E. Skyline Parkway. Over 20 artists will have booths plus there will be info booths from local organizations and agencies to learn more about the Lake and who participate in activities and research pertaining to the Lake. If you're not in the area of the Western tip of Lake Superior maybe you could at least tip a hat to this large body of freshwater. Maybe you've never even seen Lake Superior. Her spirit, her charm and beauty are quite intense. Come to this local shopping opportunity if you are in the area. There will also be an open mic at 1 p.m. and I believe at least one dulcimer player will be attending too. Several poets will also sharing their creative spoken words with Lake Superior being their inspiration and at a place where out the window is the beautiful, beautiful Lake.
For other fairs that I organize go to wendyupnorth.com/duluthfairs Thanks. Celebrate Northland made creativity. Peace.
