$5 CDs

For the first half of September, I am offering any in-stock CD or DVD for $5 with a $100 purchase. It's a new month and great dulcimer music can be a nice part as we change seasons.

I've changed my calendars to September and am working on putting together 5 local art & gift fairs in Duluth. Our earth oven in our backyard is ready to be test fired. We made it from clay dug up in our yard. Our yard was under Lake Superior about 10,000 years ago and we have loads of clay under the top soil. The oven was built with clay and we mixed in sand. There were deep cracks that formed (don't know if we put the mix on too wet)but we patched those and are ready to back a pizza crust in it. The oven as it was drying had a visitor who left their imprints - a racoon. This weekend will also be a zuchinni cook-off as there is plenty of zuchinni from the garden. Nice red tomatoes are inviting, too.

We love word games and we'll play Say Go - a crossword-like game that we bought at the Grand Canyon National Park gift shop. We also have Spill n' Spell -that's fun to whip together words with. Perhaps, I'll experiment on the computer realm and make a crossword for dulcimer enthusiasts. The world of music definitely has many terms, as does any specialty. I love biology terms and teaching biology and learning more about nature. Dulcimer players also have their own new words. Yes, I plan to post a crossword or search a word this month - sort of a back to school project - all with dulcimer terms.
